Press Release Body:
San Jose, Costa Rica, June 09, 2008 -- The 2008 World Series of Poker kicked off
this week from Las Vegas, where the Amazon Room at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and
Casino has become the center of the poker universe. Already, the WSOP has broken
attendance records and awarded millions of dollars, and the Main Event starts on
July 3rd. This week, the PocketFives.com Podcast welcomes Court Harrington,
Tournament Reporter for PocketFivesLive.com, which provides coverage of online
players in the biggest live poker tournaments. Harrington gives an inside look at
the 2008 WSOP.

Harrington tells the online poker podcast what you can expect if you’re headed to
Las Vegas: “Like every year, there’s a ton of excitement. They’ve set the room up a
little bit differently and now there’s plenty of space. They’ve just done an amazing
job. The story on Day One of the World Series was just how smoothly things went.
Everything ran like clockwork.” According to Harrington, in the halls of the Rio
you’ll find past WSOP champions, high-profile celebrities, professional athletes
and, of course, Average Joes.

PocketFivers had a huge week in major online tournament play while the 2008 World
Series of Poker kicked off, as \"TheVisionary\" took down the PartyPoker $1 million
Guaranteed May Madness tournament for $154,000. This would be an impressive
accomplishment in itself, but this online poker player also has a recent victory in
the Paradise Poker Sunday major tournament for €24,500, and placed third in Pacific
Poker\'s $3 million Guaranteed World Poker Crown. \"Spanishfly\" won the PokerStars
Sunday Million tournament for $197,200, while Dan \"wretchy\" Martin of Oregon, USA
won the Full Tilt Sunday Brawl for nearly $70,000. \"Squirrely1\" outlasted nearly
1,000 opponents to win the Full Tilt Poker Sunday Mulligan and \"LURPED\" took home
$45,000 for his win in the UltimateBet $200K Guaranteed.

The PocketFives.com Online Poker Rankings show U.K.\'s \"moorman1\" moving up one spot
to #5 this week on the heels of capturing his third Triple Crown in early June. He
won the Party Poker High Roller tournament, the Full Tilt $50 rebuy, and the
PokerStars $70 six-max tournament all within a period of one week. Joe \"hoodini10\"
Udine moved up six to #18 this week after taking down the Full Tilt $40k Guaranteed
for $26,500, and former back-to-back Sunday major tournament winner Greg \"DuckU\"
Hobson had an outright victory in the UltimateBet $50 rebuy tournament to catapulted
him to #23 in the world at online tournament play; he was up ten from last week.
Germany\'s \"goodvibe\" is up 24 to #47 after his win in the PokerStars $100 rebuy in
early June for nearly $50,000.
